Jackie Pearcey's campaign launch at Roots Restaurant

February 27, 2020 7:30 PM - 11:00 PM
518 Hyde Road Gorton, Manchester M18 7AA

Come and help us get this year's local election campaign off to a flying start as we join Jackie Pearcey, Chris Davies and friends for a fabulous African Buffet and drinks at the Roots Restaurant in Gorton.

Jackie Pearcey at the Hyde Road Bridge to be demolished in the road widening. (By Charles Turner)For the next 12 months Gorton is facing traffic chaos at peak hours and on match days thanks to Labour's mismanagement of the Hyde Road widening scheme. Gorton is seeing entertainment facilities cut and green space and naturalised woodland built upon. There are now proposals to build a new school next to a highly polluted traffic corridor and the Labour council are still failing to sort out a rubbish bin service.

Jackie Pearcey is campaigning to change things in Gorton, providing our people representation in the town hall rather than a representative of the Labour party in our community.

Come to Jackie's campaign launch where we can offer you good food, good company, good conversation and some fascinating insights from former MEP Chris Davies on his years of service as a member of the European Parliament. What better way could there be to spend a dark February evening, and what's more, every penny raised will be invested inour campaign to get Jackie Pearcey back onto Manchester City Council.

It's very easy to get to the restaurant which is next to Belle Vue rail station (on the same line as Marple and Romiley Stations and just a few minutes out of Piccadilly), on the 53 Route (from Cheetham Hill, Crumpsall and Harpurhey in the North and from Pendleton, Salford Quays, Trafford, Hulme, The University of Manchester, and Rusholme in the south) and the 150 route from The Trafford Centre, through Chorlton, Levenshulme and Longsight) as well as being on the direct bus route along the A57 (from the City Centre in the West and from Glossop and Hyde in the East).

Entry is £ 30 per person, please fill in the form on our donations page and enter £ 30.n the 'Other' box.
