Blackley and Broughton Parliamentary Constituency

The constituency of Blackley and Broughton comprises 5 City of Manchester wards of Charlestown, Cheetham, Crumpsall, Harpurhey and
Higher Blackley together with the City of Salford wards of Broughton and Kersal. This is the only seat other than Cities of London and Westminster in Central London that covers two cities. The five Manchester wards, listed below, will have individual pages where highlighted:

This is an mainly urban seat, with many small parks and two large parks; Heaton Park is one of the largest municipal parks in Europe and Boggart Hole Clough is a large ancient woodland.

The constituency is currently held by the Labour Party, although the sitting MP has voted regularly with the Conservative Government on issues concerning Britain's proposed withdrawal from the European Union.
