    Iain Donaldson was asked:

This election has come at a critical time for nursing staff, patients and their families. There are mounting pressures in the NHS and our social care services across the UK; shifts are chronically understaffed and the resources needed to provide safe and effective care aren't always available.

    Iain Donaldson was asked:

I'm writing to you as a voter in Blackley and Broughton to urge you to commit to reforming the private rented sector if elected, and to support the Renter Manifesto.

As I'm sure you're aware, the private rented sector is in urgent need of reform, both in Blackley and Broughton and nationally.

The Liberal Democrats are Britain's third largest party, with as many members as the Conservatives and fielding or supporting candiates in every seat (except that of the Speaker) in the General Election on 12th December.

As the biggest Remain Party in the UK the Liberal Democrats are leading the campaign to make this the election that delivers an Exit from Brexit.

Liberal Democrat candiate for Blackley and Broughton, Iain Donaldson, has welcomed proposals to more than double spending on youth services in Manchester and Salford from £ 4,800,000 to £ 10,583,442 to help tackle rising levels of crime/knife crime.

This would form part of a total ring-fenced fund of over £ 64 million for Local Authorities across England to spend on youth services, providing young people with positive, safe and healthy alternatives to gangs.

Manchester University Research Administrator and Former City Councillor for 19 years, Iain Donaldson has been selected by the Liberal Democrats as their Candidate for the Blackley and Broughton Constituency to challenge the Labour Party's arch-brexiteer and climate change denying MP.

Iain has lived in Manchester all his life and is concerned about the damage that Brexit will do to our city, which is dependent on being in the EU for many jobs, for our world leading sciences and for our commerce, trade and toursim, and also the loss of influence that the UK will have when it comes to tackling climate change, an issue where Labour speaks fine words and passes some credible policy, but takes absolutely no action.
