Kobe Bibbon

Kobe Bibbon is the youngest Liberal Democrat team leader in Manchester this year. LGBT+ and from a BAME background, Kobe hs lived in our wonderful city his whole life!

Kobe first got involved with politics at the age of 15 when campaigning on the streets of Manchester for a remain vote during the EU referendum, he told Focus "I joined the Liberal Democrat's not just because of their strong track record on equality but because they truly are the party that care about the people of Manchester. I know from personal experience that Labour simply can not deliver equality to the people of Manchester. As a gay man myself, I know the struggles that other young LGBT people face within our society and I want to make this city the best place that it can be to make them feel safe and secure with who they are."

Manchester Labour has for far too long taken the people of this inspirational city for granted. Whether it be less bin collections or potholes all over our roads, these issues matter to Mancunians, but this council just doesn't want to listen. Instead, they are more interested in producing unelected positions for local councillors such as 'City centre spokesperson'

Only Labour or the Liberal Democrat's can win in Manchester.

Kobe continued "I know that the Liberal Democrat's have not been popular with young people in recent years but they have shown that they truly care about our young people, something Labour has failed to do, despite claiming that they do."

In the last few years Manchester's Labour bosses have committed £0.5 billion to tarting up the Town Hall, £12.5 million on a new arts centre which was over budget before a brick was lain, and nearly £1.2 million on fountains for the homeless and hungry in our city to sit around and admire.

Kobe Bibbon says "We need to ask ourselves, who has Manchester really been changing for: the vulnerable homeless on our streets or the comfortable councillors living in luxury accommodation promoting their pet projects?"
