Safe Streets in Levenshulme - Sign Greg's Petition Below!

"Manchester's Labour leaders are letting down the residents of Levenshulme as we continue coming out of lockdown and start going back to work. My fear is that Manchester City Council missing an open goal of joined up pop-up cycle lanes across Greater Manchester is worsening already illegal levels of air pollution and harming the health of communities along the A6" says Greg Sammons, the Manchester Lib Dem candidate in Levenshulme.

  • We know the A6 is a nightmare to travel down on a bike. With buses and trains at 20% capacity, we need to make the most of opportunities to encourage active travel in order to get people to work safely.
  • Stockport Council have committed to build a pop-up temporary cycle lane facility to encourage more people to cycle along the A6 (and to keep bikes off the pavement!)
  • Why can't Manchester do the same? They have £21.5 million available in government funding, so we need them TO ACT NOW FOR SAFE STREETS.
  • Sign Greg's Petition below if you agree with helping people get to work safely.

Greg Sammons is keen to hear from you. You can get in direct contact with him here or follow the Levenshulme Lib Dems on Twitter
